1) West LA: Good news for West LA residents. More than a year after a zoning/planning change notice was sent out to the neighborhood, comprehensive alcohol superstore BevMo! has finally started renovating the old Pier 1 Imports store on Santa Monica near Veteran. This is in addition to the BevMo! that is moving into the building with Longs Drugs/CVS on Wilshire near Centinela. [EaterWire]
2) K-Town/Mid-Wilshire: As Curbed previously reported, the soaring Solair building is nearing completion and many of the ground level retail spots have been leased. Coming soon to Western and Wilshire is Yogi Noodle and another Aroma Cafe. However, this Aroma Cafe is unrelated to the other business known as Aroma Cafe. Also, Haagen-Dazs is already serving even as the jackhammers continue nearby. [EaterWire] —DG
