CULVER CITY— Perhaps taking inspiration from Napa's Ubuntu, Akasha hosts Yoga for Foodies this Sunday from 11AM-1PM. The class will be taught by David Romanelli followed by a farm-to-table Indian-inspired lunch. Chef/owner Akasha Richmond herself will share her experience cooking at Yogi Bhaja’s Golden Temple Conscious Cookery, a since-shuttered vegetarian restaurant in LA. The lunch menu reads as follows: Goat Cheese Frittata, Cumin and Coriander Lamb Sausage, Grilled Tandoori Veggie Salad, Punjabi Focaccia, and Organic Mango Lassi. The cost for both yoga and lunch is $54. [EaterWire] — Yvonne Ip
HOLLYWOOD— Tonight neighborhood newcomer Vintage Enoteca hosts Movie Mondays where The Bicycle Thief will be projected onto the restaurant's back wall. But wait, there's a dealfeed in here. Buy one glass of wine, get your second glass at half price during the movie. [EaterWire]
MID-CITY— On August 1 Fallen Fruit and LACMA team up for a collaborative jam-making festival as part of the museum's year-long series EATLACMA. Bring your own fruit then mix and match flavors with others, and finally bring home a jar of jam at the end of the day. Attendance is gratis. [EaterWire]
