Pitfire Introduces Limited Edition Spam Pizza, R26 Cocktail Updates, MORE!

New, 1 comment

DOWNTOWN— Attention indie film fans: Pitfire Pizza is creating a special pizza to complement the premiere of The Wild and Wonderful Whites of West Virginia, a documentary produced by the team behind Jackass. The fim centers on the legendary White Clan of West Virginia, a family of outlaws and criminals (who also happen to be tap dancers). Check out the trailer here. Anyway, starting today, Pitfire has added the Jesco White Hillbilly pizza to the menu at the downtown location through July 8. The pizza is a white pie with spam. Amazing. To score 10% off the pie just mention this movie. Also, while you're chowing down on Hillbilly pizza, you can also play ping-pong with your friends. The Pitfire downtown and the North Hollywood locations moved in ping-pong tables 4 days ago. No charge for play, and they'll provide paddles and balls. [EaterWire] — YI

MID-CITY/DOWNTOWN— Feast shares details on John Sedlar's forthcoming R26. As for cocktails, think creations calling for Pisco and Venezuelan rum, not necessarily small-batch, "more of a London-style approach, including speed pour." Right now the eatery is slated for a fall opening. In other John Sedlar news, Rivera has launched five, yes five, new menus. [Feast]

SANTA MONICA— And speaking of pizza and new menus, chef Tony DiSalvo at the Viceroy he begun offering a new poolside Friday pizza menu. Offered from 2-6PM, the pizzas are baked in a wood-fired oven by the hotel's pool. [EaterWire]
