Check this place out. After a year of construction nightlife vet Michelle Marini is ready to debut The Falls, a bar that feels both uber glam yet earthy with 70s-inspired chandeliers, geometric glass, patterned carpets and wall fixtures. But then again you can't miss the lumberjack log walls, wooden bar stool tops, and wooden tree-formed tables, there's a whole lot of style going on in here which Michelle designed herself. In the past she has owned Hollywood's Lava Lounge, and also worked with Craig Trager of Vintage Bar Group to conceive The Woods.
A vintage cocktail menu with modern versions of the classics to compliment the vintage/mod feel of the space. There will be fresh squeezed lemon, kumquats, and watermelon juice plus basil and sage stocked behind the bar. Vino: three reds, three whites, six rotating beers on tap and six in bottles/cans. Food is on the way too, but not for about a month. Think bar offerings like stuffed pretzels, popcorn, cheese, olives, the like. And finally, as far as the opening, Michelle plans to VERY SOFTLY open doors tonight for friends, but the real debut won't come until next week, probably the following Saturday.
