Westfield Topanga Mall Gets Exotic Ice Cream Via L.A. Creamery, Opening in November

New, 8 comments

Headed to the Westfield Topanga Mall (level one next door to Nordstrom) comes L.A. Creamery, the first artisan ice creamery in LA to source milk from Straus Family Farms. Plywood is quite obviously up, hiding the cafe's interior, but the space was designed by George Kelly Architects (Mozzas, The Edison, Tarpit, Seven Grand) so expect a looker. Sharon Aronson, formerly the GM of Pizzeria Mozza, is behind this project which is set to debut this coming November. Too bad this place couldn't open in time for summer, but get excited about redefined classic flavors like Rocky Road with Valrhona chocolate ice cream, roasted almonds, and handmade marshmallow, to more exotic combinations including Dark Chocolate with Chocolate-Bacon Brownies, Sweet Corn Tamale Cakes, and Maple Pancake. Yup, those are all flavors. [EaterWire]
