An Eater operative reports that a major chef shakeup just went down. Think, a publicized downtown restaurant, a less than successful health inspection last week, a recent review that fell a full star short of the goal, and a new "consulting" chef now in the kitchen. A call placed to First & Hope querying about the new chef produced the following result: "where did you hear that?" followed by "that's not something I can talk to you about." SO, looks like chef Shelley Cooper has left the kitchen. First & Hope PR confirms one piece of the puzzle: "They fired the sous chef Jenny and she has been on the war path stirring up trouble."
