MID-CITY— The original Sushi Roku on Third Street will shutter August 1 for a two month overhaul, reopening on October 1. The revamp includes "extensive" interior and exterior design changes, and the addition of a new bar and lounge. [EaterWire]

OC— Yet another food truck fest called The OC Foodie Fest. This one takes place at the Honda Center in Anaheim on August 28 and features a full 50 mobile vendors.
