Los Angeles food critic Jonathan Gold was asked to weigh in on chain restaurants, and while he's not generally a fan, there are a few of which he approves: the ever-popular drive through In-N-Out, Jack in the Box and LA chains Texis, Phoenix Food Boutique, and Zankou Chicken.
