SANTA MONICA— The Santa Monica Daily Press brings word that on early Tuesday morning, circa 4:30AM, a devastating blaze swept through Dakota Lounge on Wilshire rendering the venue roof-less. The fire demolished everything except for Dakota's sound board and stage, and the Santa Monica Fire Department is looking into the conflagration's cause. Luckily, there were no injuries and right now Dakota hopes to reopen next month. [SMDP via GS]

Tickets run a steep $350 a pop, but hey, it's for a good cause (95% of proceeds go to cancer research). [EaterWire]
