Breadbar Launches In The Making, Culinary Workshops

Breadbar is most notably known for that Ludo pop-up which parlayed into its ever changing roster of high-profile chefs who claim Breadbar's Century City kitchen stadium for one night out of the month (key players, M.Volt, Marcel Vigneron, Walter Manzke). More recently Breadbar launched a spinoff from the Hatchi dinner concept with Hatchi Mix where top LA mixologists come to mix and muddle their way through an evening of eight shmancy cocktails priced at $8 a glass. So, what's Breadbar got up its sleeve now? Following the Ramen pop-up, Breadbar on Third launches monthly interactive "culinary workshops" aka interactive dinner parties. Help cook what you eat. First up in this new series comes Robert Wemischner, author of The Dessert Architect, a guide on how to create, well, complicated desserts. The inaugural class kicks off July 18 from 5-8PM and includes the cook-it-yourself element plus a three-course Breadbar meal for $65. Wemischner’s workshop will focus on the delicious stone fruit now in season (white and yellow nectarines, plums, pluots, and peaches) and how to make crumbles, sorbets, ice creams, and sauces.
