It had a long, fruitful run but Spazio in Sherman Oaks has thrown in in the towel. The restaurant and jazz club served as a gathering place and stage for many notable acts over the years. Announcing on it website and in a newsletter to fans that it would be closing early this month, the shutter is now final. Chalk it up to the economy and a trend of jazz club closings in the past year. (See The Jazz Bakery and Studio City's La Ve Lee). What could be next for the space? Tips are always welcome.
