Taverna 8 1/2 quietly opened its doors in Studio City a few weeks ago. This new gastropub took over the old Nick's Grill space and is serving a mostly Italian inspired menu. Pizza dough is made from imported Neapolitan flour and traditional salumi make an appearance. A generous menu of wine and beer seals the deal. Open daily from noon to midnight. [EaterWire]
