HOLLYWOOD— After East cut back on hours and days of operation, it was only a matter of time before the costly venture shuttered, now it's just used as an event space. After dropping $3.2 million, at least it's used for something. The LA Business Journal caught up with bossman David Judaken and partner Tony Daly to discuss their many projects, and with regard to East, David Says: “East has been the only thing that I’ve done that I haven’t had huge success with...I closed my doors because I realized that I was fighting a battle that could not be won. I couldn’t convince my demographic that Hollywood was the place to eat.” [LABJ via GS]
