Cache Over and Out, Closes Its Doors On Main Street

New, 6 comments

It was announced across the web yesterday that Josiah Citrin's Cache, located on Main Street in Santa Monica, bit the dust. This shutter comes as both surprising and not surprising. One would expect more from a revered chef such as Citrin, who also owns French staple Melisse, though frankly after an inaugural taste about a year ago, let's just say we're not overwhelmingly shocked (though it did ring in 2.5 SIV stars). Or maybe the space is cursed? Prior to Cache's pricey overhaul, the venue lived as Hidden, another failed venture featuring several different cuisines catering to the Euro Ed Hardy crowd. Which brings us to...an empty space. Who will move in? Hopefully the next tenant finds better luck.
