A college English professor from Manhattan said three cops ejected her from a Starbucks yesterday morning after she got into a dispute with a counterperson for refusing to use the coffee chain's "strange vernacular." And no, it wasn't over having to say "venti" (she refuses to say that anyway), it was over the proper way to order a bagel. Amusing only because she spoke to the New York Post about grammar: "Linguistically, it's stupid, and I'm a stickler for correct English," she said. [NYP via Eater National]
