Sweet Butter Kitchen Underway In Sherman Oaks

Leslie Danelian and husband Rick Berge, of catering company Sweet Somethings, have broken ground at their forthcoming Sweet Butter Kitchen in what was previously a Box Brothers on Ventura Blvd. They were hoping for a Labor Day opening, but considering the construction delays, they're now shooting for an October debut. SBK will house the catering business as well as its own stand alone cafe and separate pastry area plus marketplace. Eventually one will be able to sit in the herb garden/patio, shaded by trees, and nibble on teacakes while watching Danelian and company frost wedding cakes and bake home-style muffins. Intelligentsia is set to provide the coffee; Danelian and Berge will provide everything else, including, possibly, cooking classes. Stay tuned for more. [EaterWire]
