Alex's Lemonade Stand Food Bonanza: Check Out The Chefs!

New, 4 comments

Another opportunity to get drunk and overeat for charity. Suzanne Goin (Lucques, AOC, Tavern), husband David Lentz (The Hungry Cat), plus biz partner Caroline Styne have organized a massive foodie showdown to benefit Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation, an organization dedicated to finding a cure for cancer. On November 7 at Culver Studios, both local and national top talents will convene to cook, also on hand to mix and muddle through the day Eric Alperin (The Varnish), Neal Boderheimer (Cure), and Tim Staehling (The Hungry Cat), plus of course the requite vino from a bevy of producers (Graves, Melville, Villa Creek).

It's a doozy of a list! Jonathan Waxman (Barbuto, NYC), Marc Vetri (Vetri, Philly), Michael Tusk (Quince, SF), David Tanis (Chez Panisse, Berkeley), Nancy Silverton (Pizzeria Mozza), Judy Rogers (Zuni, SF), Breanne Varela (Tavern), Johnathan Sundstrom (Lark, Seattle), Susan Spicer (Bayona, New Orleans), Christina Olufson (Lucques), Zoe Nathan (Huckleberry), Russell Moore (Camino, Oakland), Joseph Manzare (Globe, SF), Donald Link (Cochon, New Orleans), Tony Keene (Gordon Ramsay at the London West Hollywood), Paul Kahan (avec, Chicago), Maria Hines (Tilth, Seattle), Suzanne Goin, David Lentz, Giada De Laurentiis (Food Network), Chris Bianco (Pizzeria Bianco, AZ), and John Besh (John Besh Restaurant Group, New Orleans). Phew, now that's a cast! Judging by all those heavy hitters, tix are not cheap (though worth it), $150 for general admission, or $350 for VIP. But hey, it's all for a good cause. [EaterWire]
