Lot 1 Acquires Alcohol License, To Reopen For Dinner Service

Echo Park's Lot 1 debuted in 2008 with Josef Centeno behind the stoves, though after just a few months of service he departed the eatery and eventually landed at Lazy Ox Canteen. Anyway, a local resident claims, " It's been struggling along for what feels like a year with all-you-can-eat pancake breakfasts on the weekends." Rumor had it that owners planned to acquire a beer and wine license and reopen serving dinner, though that was originally planned roll out in July. Not so much. However, here we are in almost September and Lot 1 just posted (a very difficult to read) sign saying:

"Congratulations to us. We have our beer & wine license (it includes the sidewalk & side patio)!! We'll reopen with new dinner menu and late night dining. Follow us on Twitter Lot1Cafe. Hope to see you soon."
There you have it, stay tuned.
