It's been a long time coming, and after a few delays, Fresh Bites is finally ready for its soft soft soft opening today, with the grand launch on Monday. The focus here is on, well, fresh Italian bites, reasonably priced, to be enjoyed within the above pictured eco-friendly space. Bamboo galore, modern lighting fixtures, earthy hues, all conceived by owner Luca Giorgetti and architect Osvaldo Maiozzi (Rivera, Angelini Osteria). Open from 7AM-midnight and serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner, the comprehensive menus span the gamut from sandwiches to soups to grilled dishes, of course there's pizza and pasta as well. The breakfast menu feels a bit less overwhelming with an array of omelettes, breakfast sandwiches, grains, and pasties. Executive chef Claudio Marchesan (Pane E Vino, Chianti Cucina, Il Fornaio) controls the aforementioned, meanwhile Bouley alum Rebecca West heads the pastry department. Come on down.
