Sushi Cat and Te'Kila Now Open For Business

New, 1 comment

1) Mid-Wilshire: Sushi Cat debuted just one week ago but their menu already says that they’re “the best in Los Angeles.” Curious. Sushi Cat’s menu offers the classics: dragon rolls and spicy tunas dominate here, but plate presentations and the demure chefs feel just right. Look for noodles and entree-sized teriyaki plates, as well as tempura, edamame, and seaweed salad. Sashimi options include albacore belly and seared tuna -- still bright red in the center, but with a lightly charred crust. On a hot day, the cold soba noodle soup might be just the thing, a welcome option when you’re tired of the food truck line. [EaterWire] — DG

2) Hollywood: Today Thrillist brings confirmation that the transformation from La Cantina into Te'Kila is now complete. The uber delayed Spacecraft-designed Mexican-themed bar boasts over 100 tequilas, fruity margaritas (blackberries, watermelon, mango), and who can forget that $300 lobster/filet burrito served alongside a shot of shmancy tequila? Preview the cocktail list here. [Thrillist]
