The Slaw Dogs Serves Booze, Considers Second Outpost

New, 3 comments

The Slaw Dogs gourmet hot dog shop graced Pasadena with its presence back in February, a first time restaurant venture from proprietor Ray Byrne (former managing partner of The Sunset Restaurant). The eatery serves up a bevy of crazy hot dog/sausage creations raging from a create your own dog to the Picnic Dog (bbq sauce, onion rings, potato salad, pickle) to the Thai Slaw Dog (chicken sausage, spicy peanut-coconut satay dressing, cilantro-carrot slaw, crushed peanuts, siracha aioli). Both the LAT and The Goldster have filed favorable reviews, so its no shocker to hear that Byrne is scouting for a second hot doggery.

In other Slaw Dogs news, the Pasadena restaurant has finally acquired its beer and wine license (check out the brews above) and will offer Hair of the Dog Happy Hour starting September 7. Pop by M-F between 3-5PM for a Vienna all beef link with 3 toppings and a tall boy of PBR for $5.99. AND, mention Eater LA during the month of September and score two for one Slaw Dogs (#10 excluded). One per guest, dine in only, must be of equal or lesser value, blah blah blah.
