The good news, is that Madame Chou Chou is just about ready for its debut, that bad news is that the French bistro is still awaiting its final health inspection. But, chef and co-owner Vincent Carneau (Utopia and Supper Liberation Front) foresees the official launch happening within the next 10 days. Eater popped by the space for a quick tour and learned that everything in the restaurant was handmade by the owners and apparently they have had a fondness for black and white because everything from the walls, the tables, the chandelier, even the silverware is one color or the other.
Expect about 40 seats with an indoor/outdoor patio hidden behind the kitchen where guests can enjoy a mix of modern meets traditional French fare serves in small portions. Beer and wine is in the works, as are a slew of house-baked pastries.
