Backstage II, Kitchen Table, Moore’s Delicatessen

1) West LA: Remember the old Del's Saloon which shuttered this past January after the bar lost its lease? A new tenant has moved in, and though a name is missing from the ABC license, word on the street is that owners behind Culver City's Backstage plan to open another dive, Backstage II, within the next two to three weeks. 3) Burbank: Feast reports that Ben’s Catering & Deli is on its way to become Moore’s Delicatessen, operated by Robert Moore and his wife Christine, founders of Little Flower Candy Co. The plan is to debut by October 11 with a new modern look, serving a somewhat standard deli menu from salads to soups to sandwiches, in addition to meat and fish entrees. However, where Moore’s differs from the usual deli lot is in its efforts to offer seasonal (deli) fare, paying close attention to ingredient sourcing. That and the fact that no fried food will be served, so, French fries, baked? Lastly, alcohol. Think six craft beers on tap, plus six boutique reds and six boutique whites. [Feast]
