The rise of spirit-themed bars is in full effect, there's Seven Grand for whiskey, Cana and La Descarga for rum, Las Perlas for tequila and mezcal, the Thirsty Crow for bourbon, and Nic's for vodka, to name a few. But now comes one more to add to the list, another vodka haven called Silo opening within the Haas Building downtown. This neighborhood lounge comes from those behind Group 7 LLC with a partnership between AP Consulting LA (who will run the bar and do all the branding), and The Broadway Exchange Building. Once complete Silo will encompass 2,000 square feet divided between two levels including an extensive outdoor seating area as well as floor to ceiling glass windows.
As for the bar menu, Silo will offer a variety of vodkas each with its own distinct story, as well as 20 "affordable" infusioned drinks that range from salty to sweet and spicy to sour. Since owners want to cater to a local crowd, DTLA Resident Card holders will receive discounts. While Silo is currently in plywood mode, it's expected to start serving in January.
