Earlier this summer management behind Verrazano's Pizza on La Brea posted an update on their website announcing: "Due to a fire in the restaurant on 5/6/2010, we will be closed for a while. Please look for updates on this page for our re-opening." Unfortunately, the pizzeria's phone number has since been disconnected and a For Lease sign now hangs outside. Game over. [EaterWire]
