David Myers Buys in Hwood, New Menu at The Lab, MORE

HOLLYWOOD— Tons of commotion happening around Hollywood and Vine lately. File this under up and coming projects, David Myers (Comme Ca, Pizzeria Ortica) has acquired a ground floor space at 6253 Hollywood Blvd with plans to debut a new restaurant next year. Of course, immediately one thinks, could this be the home of LA's own Pizzeria Ortica? [LAT]

DOWNTOWN— USC's The Lab has launched new lunch and dinner menus featuring beer-inspired dishes and traditional gastropub fare. Sample dinner items include Crispy Pork Belly Tacos; and IPA Short Rib Sliders with Stone IPA Braised Beef Short Rib, Caramelized Maui Onion, and Horseradish Aioli. [EaterWire]

CULVER CITY— From September 23-January 31, 2011 The Warholian pops up at Royal/T. That means, catch some of the Andy Warhol's most iconic works, in addition to other pieces created by those he has inspired. Also running through January 31, Royal/T's cafe will serve a pop art-inspired menu: The Edie Sedgwich Sandwich; Twiggy Salad with Edible Flowers; Pop Combo with Three-Cheese Grilled Cheese and Tomato Bisque; Velvets Banana Pudding; and Really High Tea.
