ambergris_post.jpgAccording to The Atlantic, there's a current micro-trend happening in the mixology world in which ambergris aka "clotted whale cholesterol excreted by sperm whales," makes its way into a bevy of libations. The solid mass is shaved atop beverages much like a truffle, but ambergris actually costs MORE than truffles. Yikes. [The Atlantic]
