Beachy Cream Hits The Market at Santa Monica Place

Well this is a fun concept. Girls in vintage 50s-inspired bikinis handing out cold ice cream sandwiches, yup. Up until now Beachy Cream, the Malibu-based ice cream sandwichery has brought its cart to farmers markets and private events, serving small-batch ice cream sandwiches made from locally-sourced, organic ingredients that shape flavors like strawberry balsamic and ginger molasses. The year and a half old company, launched by friends Ann Ryan and Debbie Kimble, was inspired by "ice-cream fueled summers on Cape Cod," a sure competitor to original ice cream sandwich slinger, Cool Haus. Anyway, in addition to selling at Whole Foods, Beachy Cream will also open its flagship ice cream boutique inside The Market at Santa Monica Place. Already slated to debut, Venice's N'Ice Cream, so two options next summer to cool down while satiating that sweet tooth.
