After months of trackage, Olive & Thyme grand opens its country-chic digs in Toluca Lake on February 1. Locals should come on down for freebie bites of private label savories, and Valerie Gordon of Valerie Confections will provide tastings of her baked goods specifically created for the market/cafe. As a quick recap, owner Melina and Christian Davies, investors in Mozza 2Go, became frustrated by the dearth of quality eats in their neighborhood. Hence, Olive & Thyme was born. They've hired an all-star cast, Valerie Gordon of Valerie Confections to help with sweets and savories, Matthew Kaner to consult on beer and wine, plus Norbert Wabnig of The Cheese Store of Beverly Hills to chime in on cheese. Opening hours of operation run 8AM-8PM Monday-Saturday.
