Oakland's Eat Real food festival, a celebration of small businesses, local farmers, and neighborhood purveyors, expands south to LA landing at Helms Bakery in Culver City on July 16-17. Imagine a state fair meets street-food fest meets block party, learn where food REALLY comes from and interact with the people who grow it. Eat Real aims to educate the public on micro/craft producers and encourage the growth of mom and pop food entrepreneurs. While the fest itself is free to enter, all food served costs $5 per portion.
