New Ownership at French Market Place, Tender Greens Looks Downtown, The Sidewalk Grill Opens, A Jersey Food Truck

New, 2 comments

WEHO The entire building housing the French Market Place on Santa Monica Blvd was recently sold, but rest assured new owners don't plan to shutter the eatery. Expect a renovation at some point in the future, but no huge interior changes or menu alterations. [EaterWire]

DOWNTOWN Expansion plans for seasonal fast casual cafe Tender Greens. Straight from The Twitter: "Going to take a second look downtown LA for Future location tomorrow." [Twitter]

LOS FELIZ One more opening today, Feast catches the launch of The Sidewalk Grill, a new Mediterranean spot that replaced Mama Mia Café on Vermont. Partners Farzam Fahim and Eiman Shekarchi already own a Persian mini chain called Shekarchi, though The Sidewalk Grill offers a more casual spin of Persian dishes with Mediterranean touches. [Feast]

MEALS ON WHEELS Ah, yes, more trucks. Grub Street finds newbie Jersey Grub, for which Snooki has been appointed as mascot. Just kidding. The vehicle is expected to debut this weekend slinging east coast-style sub sandwiches plus fries, chicken fingers, mozz sticks. Sorry Snooks, no pickles here. [Grub Street]
