1) Beverly Hills: After a zillion delays, La Seine Bar & Grill opens tonight on La Cienega. Check out the above shots, the space feels like a mix of The Lodge and Hakobe, with The Lodge's layout and Hakobe's sushi bar still in tact. Former Cafe Wa s chef and Top Chef contestant Alex Reznik has signed on as executive chef to craft a market driven, French, Asian, and kosher menu. Interesting. [EaterWire]
2) Hollywood: That new nighttime venue, the Roxbury soft opened on New Year's Eve in Hollywood with the official debut hitting January 14. An Eater operative attended the pre-party, describing the venue as having "non-decor" save for some some "weird" red handwriting above the central donut-shaped bar in the middle of the room. That plus an "iron ball" where girls were dancing. Apparently the interior wasn't quite finished (or, hopefully wasn't finished), drinks were highly unimpressive, as was the club's entrance which didn't even look remodeled. There were some heat lamps and red lighting outside. The venue itself is circular with booths around the perimeter and a central round bar plus small outside patio. [EaterWire]
3) Mid-City: Fast-casual lunchy space Freshii softly opened its newest location on December 26 inside the Farmers Market next to Chipotle in that old tanning salon space. Good news, this eatery is larger than the previous two LA cafes with room for about 30 seats. [EaterWire]
