To celebrate the launch of The First Annual Los Angeles Food & Wine fest (which kicks off on Thursday evening with a red carpet premiere downtown at LA Live), we're offering up some pretty sweet freebies. What? You've never heard of LA Food & Wine? It's that massively huge new local food festival with TONS of all-star top toque talent inclusive of Daniel Boulud, Thomas Keller, Tom Colicchio, Michael Mina, Bradley Ogden, Kerry Simon, Rick Bayless, Roy Choi, Scott Conant, Giada de Laurentiis, Todd English, Guy Fieri, Nobu Matsuhisa, Roy Yamaguchi, and SO many more. Events span the gamut from Pigs, Pins & Pinot at Lucky Strike to Guy Fieri's Brew B'Que On Santa Monica Pier to Wolfgang Puck's Sunday Brunch & Charity Auction at Hotel Bel Air. Fun stuff. Tickets to many of these events are not exactly cheap, so we'll hook you up.

Here's how to play. All we ask is that you send over a rhyming poem about Los Angeles food and wine by Thursday at noon. First prize wins tickets (yes you get to bring a plus one) to: Red Carpet Premiere, California Clambake with Tom Colicchio, LIVE on the Plaza, Grand Tasting Sunday. Second prize lands tickets to Pigs, Pins, & Pinot, HEAT, Decadence. And third place walks away with tickets to Guy Fieri's Brew B'Que and Grand Tasting on Sunday.
