As more and more municipal and state governments consider requiring restaurants to offer their employees sick leave, restaurants are faced with logistical hurdles. After all, as one Restaurant Association representative put it, "People will be able to call in sick on holidays or Friday nights, and there will be nothing an employer can do about it."
