Hitting a particularly restaurant-scarce bit of Santa Monica on Broadway and 10th comes the third rendition of California Shabu-Shabu, a spunky hot pot spot with prior locations in Fountain Valley and Costa Mesa. Within just four months of taking over this corner space (which, in fact, was originally outfitted as another shabu-shabu place that never actually opened), management has quickly erected a restaurant, and after passing inspections, the plan is to launch next week. This right here is the pretty standard menu, there's wine, beer, and sake to drink. [EaterWire]
