Just one more reason why the Ventura expanse of boulevard near Carpenter is the new hotness: Take A Bao. Most recently Black Market sprouted, Stout is coming along slowly, and Crust is in the works, too.
As previously mentioned, this is the second location for Take A Bao, the modern Asian Fusion/dim sum spot that first opened three years ago in the Westfield Century City mall. Studio City's free-standing eatery expands on the overall concept with a more comprehensive menu (tofu popcorn and lemongrass caramel chicken wings, anyone?), full bar, and contemporary interior which involves an open kitchen designed by Ana Henton (Lukshon). Minor delays have pushed Take A Bao's opening back from late October to early November.
