The newest kid on the Spacecraft block is Naya. Interior designer Kris Keith completely overhauled the former Tantra space, turning it into part cavernous, Indian-style dungeon and part ethereal, light-filled formal dining room. In many ways, it's a place where you can feel bad and good at the same time.
Owner Michael Everest was going for modern Indian, but it's really more like Indian-fusion with traditional sounding curries, cheddar-cheese Naan and even a Naya pot pie. Coconut prawns, curry prawns, and cognac prawns all sound promising. For dessert, there are rose donuts with pineapple, cardamom-scented rice pudding, and a "Chocomossa" -- a samosa filled with chocolate.
Wine and beer is available at both bars, as is a full cocktail list. Libations come sweet and floral or sour and spicy. The bar menu has the usual suspects (tandoori, samosas, naan) as well as naan pizza (what what!), which is exactly what you'd imagine. As of yesterday, Naya is open Sunday through Wednesday from 4 to 11 PM and Thursday through Saturday from 4PM until midnight.
