Dom DeMarco Jr. Bringing Di Fara's Pizza To Las Vegas

New, 5 comments

Di Fara Pizza is one of those ancient New York hole-in-the-wall institutions that has been serving long lines in Brooklyn for the last four decades. It's considered one of the best pies in the country and has received praise from pretty much any and every food publication that exists.

... And now, Di Fara's pizza is coming to Las Vegas. Next month Dom DeMarco Jr., son of famed Di Fara pizza maker Dom DeMarco, will open Dom DeMarco’s Pizzeria & Bar off the strip in Summerlin. He has hired chef Enzo DeIuliis, who spent the past year working in the Brooklyn haunt, to run the Vegas restaurant. Hm, but can Di Fara pies be duplicated in Vegas? We're told that all Vegas pizzas will use the EXACT same ingredients found in the NY pies and the restaurant has even installed a water system that supposedly replicates Brooklyn’s water (for the dough). While Vegas pizzas will strictly adhere to Brooklyn standards, the original Di Fara menu is getting an upgrade to include salads, pastas, and a few share plates plus 12 craft beers on tap. Exact opening date still tbd.
