Spitz in Little Tokyo Raises The Bar With New Booze

Robert Wicklund, owner of Spitz in Little Tokyo and Eagle Rock, drops us a note to say that he added a full bar to the Little Tokyo location of his Middle Eastern hang about a week and a half ago. The cocktail list was designed by mixologist Kathy Casey out of Seattle and focuses on staples like a Bloody Mary and a Manhattan using fresh ingredients. In the past only sangria and craft beers were avail. In addition to the new libations, the full Sptiz menu is served at the bar.

As for the choice to expand alcoholic offerings, Wicklund says "The bar scene down here is really taking off and we want to join the party." All cocktail cost under $10, check out the list below.

Santorini Collins
apricot, lemon, date, fig and anise house infused vodka
fresh lemon – soda bubbles

Spitz Rum Punch
sailor jerry spiced rum, port, pineapple, citrus, orange pekoe tea, brown sugar syrup

Cucumber Pomegranate Lush
vodka, crisp cucumber, fresh lemon,
served up – pomegranate foam

Mandarin Basil Mojito
cruzan silver rum, fresh lime, mint, basil & mandarin

L.T. Margarita
sauza blue silver tequila, canton ginger liquor, fresh lime & guava
candied ginger garnish

Basil Lemon Drop
fresh basil, vodka, lemon
sugar rim

Rye‘Invention
rye whisky, st germain, aperol
flaming orange peel

Spitz Manhattan
maker’s mark, house-spiced red vermouth, spirited cherries

our in-house oak barrel-aged cocktail,
jim beam whisky, sauza blue silver, red vermouth, O-3 brazilian orange liquor, campari
