MID-CITY— Meshuga 4 Sushi, a small kosher sushi cafe, is under construction on La Brea and will open later this month. This here is the menu with regular rolls plus the Americanized "specialty" stuff, but do note that this isn't a dine-in establishment. Take out and delivery, only. [EaterWire]

DOWNTOWN— So, that "Molonay Tubilderborst" residence headed by Nick Coe (chef of Black Cat Bakery on Fairfax), which takes over part of Senor Fish, kicks off on Friday. This means that two menus will be on offer at the restaurant, the regular roster of eats plus Coe's seasonal selections. [LAW]
