After midnight on the third Thursday of November, the French open the season's first bottles of Beaujolais Nouveau. This year's international celebration includes a local LA event called Beaujolais Passions. Hosted by French Beaujolais winemaker and longtime arts supporter Georges Duboeuf, the party will take place this Friday, November 18 at the Beverly Hills Country Club, from 7PM until 12AM.
In addition to live art from Evan Skrederstu, live music, a raffle and silent auction, the event will feature plenty of the honored wine as well as tastes of food from Josiah Citrin, Josie Le Balch, and Joe Miller (among others), Tickets are $55 in advance or $75 at the door. [EaterWire]
