Quick, need pancakes: IHOP is opening a new concept in San Diego called IHOP Express that features counter service and promises to "have you out the door in about half the time of a conventional IHOP." IHOP President Jean Birch doesn't want you worrying about traditional IHOPs or servers losing jobs, though: "This is part of the future, but it's not the only future...This is not a replacement for IHOPs."
