Into the Westfield Topanga Mall (first floor next to the carousel) comes a new shaved "snow" concept called Snow Monkey, an endeavor organized by Kogi co-creator Mark Manguera and partner Richard Hong, CEO of Sorabol Restaurant Group. Here, it's all about flavor variety and unique toppings. The opening roster of "snows" come in Aiya Ceremonial Matcha Green Tea, Sugar-Free Black Cherry, Giradelli Chocolate, Strawberry, and Mango Lychee, in addition to some seasonal specials like Chipotle-Pineapple. Throw some Pocky or "popping boba" on top and you're good to go.
Down the line Manguera and Hong also plan to offer one rotating guest chef flavor created by "LA's up and coming chefs." The grand opening takes place Friday starting at 7AM, and check out this flyer for a buy one-get one freebie. [EaterWire]
