STUDIO CITY— This week Jonathan Gold-approved Mantee Café finally locked down a license to serve beer and wine. [EaterWire]

AROUND TOWN— Long-time David Myers Group pastry chef Ramon Perez has departed. He was in charge of baked goods at Comme Ca LA and LV, Pizzeria Ortica, Sona and Boule (pre shutters), and worked on Myers' projects abroad. [EaterWire]

SANTA MONICA— OMG Truffles! Viceroy EC Tony DiSalvo and Chef de Cuisine Chris Crary (who made his Top Chef debut last night) will shave fresh black and while truffles over pizza pies every Friday in November from 6-10PM. Pizzas will be fired in the oven by the pool and cost $60 for a while truffle pizza, $40 for a black truffle pizza. Save your allowance accordingly. [EaterWire]
