Mendocino Farms is a smartly organized, well-liked casual restaurant mini chain which focuses on thoughtfully sourced ingredients that live in seasonally-inspired salad, sandwich, and soup constructions. The chainlet has expanded through Los Angeles with two locations downtown, a more recent addition in Marina del Rey, and with the help of a substantial financial investment, there's likely still more to come.
Today owners Mario Del Pero and Ellen Chen welcome child number four to Santa Monica Boulevard. The restaurant has kicked off service as of 11AM, grassy stools and all.
Mendo WeHo has come a long way since its days of ply. The cute modern country aesthetic was designed by John Kim of Poon Design and it seems as though each new Mendo branch that opens has just a few more bells and whistles than the last. Here in West Hollywood there's an added focus on eco-friendly materials (old barn wood, reclaimed railroad ties, reused steel beams), an extra large patio out front, and since this location will serve as the menu testing hub for all locations, diners can expect a slew of specials in addition to this standard menu. Right now there's no alky just yet, but beer and wine is coming in a few months. Hours of operation run daily from 11AM to 9PM.
