MF Gourmet Serves Downtown; Canelé's Holiday Atelier

DOWNTOWN— Add French-Italian to the list of ethnic cuisines you can find inside downtown's Grand Central Market. Owner Tyler Cyre opened MF Gourmet at stall 39 in September, and when Eater caught up with him on a recent Sunday, the bakery and cafe was bustling. The goal is to serve an American menu with Italian influences plus focus on fresh bread. The breads (baguettes, rolls, brioche) are baked throughout the day, at least three times per day and are offered wholesale to restaurants around town like Traxx in Union Station, The Standard Downtown and nearby Perch. Open now from 9AM - 6PM daily, MF Gourmet also serves weekend brunch. [EaterWire] — DG

ATWATER VILLAGE— On December 19 from 5-9PM, Canelé hosts a mini bazaar in which local artisans will sell their wares. Think cards, jewelry, pottery, skincare products, preserves, and baked goods. Free glass of prosecco for all who attend. [EaterWire]
