As previously reported, Billy Richardson’s Block 16 Hospitality is set to debut their gastropub Public House in Grand Canal Shoppes at The Venetian this NYE. Though they are definitely on track, the restaurant is shaping up to be more of a “contemporary tavern," per corporate chef Anthony Meidenbauer, given their menu focuses on selections incorporating beer. Think short rib braised with Black Butte Porter, Bouchot mussels made with Hogarten beer, and Welsh rarebit containing Tenaya Creek IPA. Look for small and large plates, salads, sandwiches, steak frites, shellfish, bar snacks, as well as selections from The Butcher Block. Eating Las Vegas has scored the first interior shots.
