Status: Opened Dec 15
While Haven Gastropub first turned on its taps circa fall 2009 in Orange County, owners eyed expansion, and once the previous (cursed?) Brix 42 home became available in Old Town Pasadena, they decided to give the space a go. Now, after one year of construction, Haven Gastropub debuts its sophomore effort with an added brewery, hence the new name, Haven Gastropub + Brewery. Sticking to its roots, version 2.0 serves the same bill of fare as available down south, and there's surely something for everyone from house-made potato chips to beef cheek poutine to a whole roasted sucking pig.
Since this location functions as a brewery (plus restaurant), naturally, the beer flows freely. In addition to the regular and seasonal brews made in-house, the bar stocks another 100 beers by bottle, with 52 selections available on tap (four of the brewery's own, four cask ales, eight wines by the keg, plus other craft beer selections). Haven is open for lunch and dinner daily from 11AM-2AM.
