Bäco Mercat Expands Hours, 78-Cent Cocktails at Comme Ca, Papilles Updates, MORE!

DOWNTOWN— LAW relays word that Josef Centeno's Bäco Mercat has grand opened and hours of operation now run Mon-Sat 11:30AM-2:30PM and 6PM to about 11PM (the bar opens at 5PM). Breakfast service kicks off tomorrow at 9AM and on the menu one will find waffles with powdered sugar, and a breakfast bäco with chorizo, eggs, and chile. [LAW]

WEHO— On Monday, in celebration of Repeal Day's 78th anniversary, Comme Ca's bar mixes up a few nightly specials inclusive of a Rye Smash and the Last Word. Down one and the second costs just 78 cents. [EaterWire]

HOLLYWOOD— Santos Uy (Bacaro LA, Mignon wine bar) provides this update on his under construction Papilles French bistro: "We're still in build out phase. Our tile should come in today and that should take 3-4 days to put in. And then everything else comes in. Our gas should be turned on next week and the final pieces of furniture will be done the week if the 12th." So, expect a December debut. [EaterWire]

WEHO— Chef Micah Wexler will prepare a Jewish Christmas Eve menu on December 24 at Mezze. Think salmon, chopped liver, smoked sablefish, matzo ball soup, pastrami, potato knish, and shawarma. [LAmag]

HOLLYWOOD— With regard to that whole renovation situation at Go Burger shared by an employee, at first PR claimed that absolutely nothing was happening at the restaurant, however a second publicist jumped in to say that a new grill will be added to the kitchen to facilitate a retooled menu.
