Recently The Valley has seen a flood of new, higher quality restaurants from the Umamis of the world to smaller mom and pop getups like Black Market and Ombra. Take A Bao and Buddha's Belly also recently entered the scene, and not long before that Good Habit Foods, Olive & Thyme, and Sweetsalt hit the gourmet retail market/cafe circuit. Which brings us to Los Angeles' version of a downscaled Dean & Deluca, the progenitor of LA gourmet marketplace/cafes, Joan's on Third. And guess what? Joan's on Third founder Joan McNamara says... she's expanding her 3rd Street staple from Mid-City to The Valley.
